Low-Carbon Rail Freight Corridors – Final Event

TPR kindly invites all to participate to the final event of the project ‘Low-Carbon Rail Freight Corridors for Europe’ on 8 November in Brussels. The theme of the event is ‘Demand shift of road electrification – Pathways towards a carbon-free European freight transport’. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

Seminar Two decades of world city network research

TPR kindly invites all to an Urban Studies Institute seminar by Prof. Ben Derudder on 20 November in Antwerp on ‘Two decades of ‘world city network research’: looking forward by looking back’. This seminar will be devoted to a critical review of the roughly two decades of ‘world city network research’ carried out under the umbrella of the Globalization and World Cities (GaWC) research network.

TPR hosted NOVIMAR general project meeting

From 3 to 5 October, TPR hosted the third general project meeting of the NOVIMAR project. In the NOVIMAR vision, future waterborne transport operations on short-sea, sea-river and inland waterways can be performed by vessel trains.

TPR hosted Simultra general project meeting

On 27 and 28 September, TPR hosted the third general project meeting of the SIMULTRA project. Simultra aims to implement six simulation tools for some of the main operational processes in the logistics and transport sector.

TPR students @ Chongqing

From 7 to 22 September, TPR students enjoyed a visit to Chongqing, hosted by Chongqing University. The students participated to lectures, went on company visits, and exchanged cultural experiences with local Chinese students.
