Antwerp Rail School 2019

On 11-15 March 2019, the sixth edition of the Antwerp Rail School is organised by our Department, in cooperation with Ricardo Rail.
The target audience includesprofessionals in the rail business, as well as academics and PhD students who would like to gain advanced insight how rail businesses work and what scientific methods can be applied and derived.

On 8 November, TPR hosted its sixth BNP Paribas Fortis Chair Port Innovation café on ‘Integration of the maritime chain – Sustainability: a new innovative business model’’.

On 6 December, TPR hosted its annual Air Transport Colloquium, in which participants from industry and policy together with students exchanged views on innovations which can help the actors in the sector to deal with the disruptive environment and form successful aviation business strategies.

On 8 November, the LowCarb-RFC project held its Final Event in Brussels. The project pursues the questions which opportunities rail and road transport offer to decarbonise freight transport along major European corridors, how to tackle existing institutional barriers and what impacts can be expected on logistic hubs.View final reports
